Bobbie Bait
Bobbie Baits – Classic American Pike & Musky Lures Since 1938
Few names in traditional musky fishing carry the history of Bobbie Baits. Developed in 1938 by Wisconsin lure maker Robert A. Vander Velden around the legendary Chippewa Flowage, the original Bobbie Bait became a staple of American trophy predator fishing.
Best known for its handcrafted wooden jerkbaits, Bobbie Baits built its reputation around a distinctive dive-and-rise action. The classic Bobbie Jerkbait features an adjustable stainless steel tail that allows anglers to fine-tune the lure's movement and running depth. Bend the tail downward for a deeper presentation or upward to work higher in the water column.
The weighted Bobbie Jerkbait adds longer hang time between pulls, making it especially useful for deliberate retrieves, colder water, and targeting fish that follow without committing.
But Bobbie Baits is more than jerkbaits.
The brand's Creeper is a traditional wooden topwater crawler designed to slowly plop and crawl across the surface, while the Creepin' Hogg adds a rear propeller to its crawling wings for an especially noisy, disruptive topwater presentation.
At Pike Pro Shop, we're proud to carry a piece of American musky fishing history for anglers pursuing trophy Northern Pike and Musky. From classic wooden jerkbaits to slow-moving surface crawlers, Bobbie Baits offers time-tested presentations that remain relevant decades after their introduction.
